John Henry Jr. loved his family as was all about family. It was this love that inspired me to create this place for sharing of family news and information. If you would like to see a pictorial journey of the last four months please visit our Gallery.

A Prayer for John Henry by Joel M. Arrington
Heavenly father, Beneficent Lord, King of Kings, we beseech and beg of you to grant our loved one a safe and gentle crossing from this world to the next. We humbly ask that you guide him back to your bosom from which we all came and that you allow him to join that host of both family and friends that await him on the other side. We pray that your gracious countenance and healing love make his last days of pain but a fragment of a memory and that in the company of his family that has preceded him he truly achieve that state of grace unable to be attained on this side of life.
We seek your guidance and understanding as we deal with our own grief and although we are sorry for our loss, that you fill our hearts with the joy of knowing that he is safe in your arms and his fight is now over. We beg of you some measure of divine spiritual evolution so that our sadness can be transitioned to joy just as John Henry transitioned from life into your glorious presence. We thank you for allowing us so many years of his humor, love, concern, and care. We thank you for allowing him to peacefully move from this world to his reward and we know that in your omniscience, that his being called home was for the best.
Lastly we pray that as a family you inspire us to dedicate ourselves to maintaining the bonds of blood that can not be broken between us. We humbly and most fervently submit our lives to you and seek not only our own redemption but that you will allow us to as a family redeem the least of us, just as we would the greatest of us, and wrap ourselves in the warming embrace of your most perfect and all forgiving love.
For these and so many other blessings we pray.

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. Rest assured that he’s safe in the arms of the Lord. Take care.
